- 2. There were fees to enroll the pupils, fees that peasants could not afford.
- 3. Peasants were only allowed to be educated if they had permission from their ‘Lord’ of the Manor.
- 5. Young girls were only educated in keeping a successful household to please her husband.
- 7. Mistakes in class were punished by birch, or threats of it. Which, made the pupils more apt to learn in fear of the pain inflicted.
- 9. Era when educating women was not ignored, though only the daughters of the very rich and powerful were the educated women.
- 11. The cap and gown of graduates ( the colors), also were developed.
